Born on a frozen lake in 2014, built by ice fishing obsessives who wanted to share the magic with the world.

Our Mission

Making Ice Fishing Accessible For Everyone

FrostHook Fishing was founded on a simple but powerful idea: ice fishing is one of the most exhilarating winter experiences on the planet — and absolutely anyone can do it with the right guidance.

We started as a small two-guide operation in 2014, running weekends on our favourite local lake. Word spread fast. Within two seasons, we were fully booked every winter weekend. By 2026, we've guided over 1,200 first-timers through their ice fishing debut.

Our promise is simple: you arrive as a complete beginner, you leave as a proud ice angler with your first catch under your belt — and a serious addiction to frozen lakes.

12 Years On The Ice

2014 — The Beginning

Marcus Reid runs the first FrostHook tour with just two friends, a borrowed ice auger, and a dream. 4 paying guests, 12 fish caught. The seed is planted.

2016 — Growing Fast

Three guides, two new ice shelters, and a proper equipment inventory. FrostHook becomes the go-to beginner ice fishing experience in the region.

2019 — Night Tours Launch

Tom Karlsson joins the team and introduces the now-iconic Sunset & Stars Night Ice Fishing tour — instantly sold out every season.

2022 — Family Focus

Lisa Park joins and creates our dedicated Family Ice Fishing program. Children as young as 6 are now catching their first fish on the ice.

2026 — A Milestone Season

Over 1,200 guests guided, 8 tour packages, a full team of 6 certified guides, and a wait list that fills up months in advance. The best is yet to come.
